Having won a number of awards at the 22nd World Travel Awards (also known as the ‘Oscars’ of the tourism industry), the year 2015 has come to a great end for Kenya without a doubt.

This was not the first time that Kenya’s finest tourism destinations and services were nominated and acknowledged at the World Travel Awards, but it definitely was a special one since this time around Kenya walked out with not just one but twenty-three awards!

Some of these awards include; Kenya as the World’s Leading Safari Destination, Kenya Tourism Board as Africa’s Leading Tourist Board, Kenya Airways for Africa’s Leading Airline in Business Class, Port of Mombasa as Africa’s Leading Cruise Port, Diani beach as Africa’s leading Beach, and Maasai Mara Game Reserve as Africa’s leading National Park.

At the 22nd World Travel Awards ceremony that was held in Seychelles, Murithi Ndegwa, the managing director of the Kenyan Tourism Board stated that the awards received was an indication of Kenya’s unbeatable position in the safari and beach destination of Africa despite having tough competition from other African countries as well.

This truly was an outstanding achievement for Kenya and on behalf of Zawadi Tours I congratulate Kenya and pray for their continual success in the following years to come.
